Re: Intel clearly thinks this guy is 'hot' ARM most certainly has the upper hand here - when it comes to low cost, low power chip designs, it has been eating Intel's lunch for years. 

It's not Intel's fault - the company was focused on PC investments. Now it needs to implement ARM designs at Intel scale. Thus this hire.

He might need to get a move on! Qualcomm is already talking to operators about LTE Cat M1 and M2 (NB-IoT) trials.
