Technical Advisory Board will provide advice on technology and market trends to Intune’s management team

DUBLIN -- Intune Technologies, the Dublin-based developer of tunable laser control products has announced the formation of its Technical Advisory Board. The board comprises leading industry experts who will provide advice on technology and market trends to Intune’s management team. The Board will be chaired by Dr. Jens Buus, also a non-executive Director of Intune. Dr. Buus is regarded as one of the leading experts on semiconductor lasers, he has published extensively and has authored two texts on laser diodes. Awarded the IEEE-LEOS Distinguished Lecturer title in 1998, he regularly delivers talks at the major laser conferences on laser sources for DWDM networks. Also on the board is Dr. Geert Morthier of IMEC in Gent, Belgium, author of over 70 international white papers in the area of semicondutor lasers. He is joined by Professor Lars Thylen of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm where he currently leads the Laboratory of Photonics and Microwave Engineering. The fourth member of the Board is Prof. Bjarne Tromberg, who is currently the Research Professor in modelling of components and systems for optical communications at the Research Center COM, Technical University of Denmark. He is also the Chairman of the Danish Optical Society. Dr. Wsewolod Warzanskyj completes the Technical Board line-up. He is currently Business Manager on Advanced Radio Communication Systems at Telefónica, Spain, and is a member of the Management Committee for the European Conference on Optical Communications.In welcoming the appointment of the board, Tom Farrell, CTO of Intune Technologies said: “Our Technical Advisory Board are an invaluable addition to the management structure of Intune where their expertise and experience will be vital in providing direction for future technologies being developed by our research team.” Intune Technologies
