ALLEN, Texas, and SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Metro-Optix today
announced a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with International Fibercom
Inc. (Nasdaq: IFCI), marking the beginning of a key strategic relationship
in metropolitan optical networking for both companies. The formal
relationship also includes third party and interoperability testing and
several systems are currently being shipped to International Fibercom.
Under the terms of the agreement, International FiberCom will resell
Metro-Optix’s CityStream multi-service provisioning optical platform through
additional distribution channels into its customer base.

companies to broaden our metro optical networking reach to companies in the
United States," said Arun Bellary, CEO and chairman, Metro-Optix. “We
believe that International FiberCom's expertise and experience in
engineering - coupled with our CityStream system - will provide both
economic and speed-to-market benefits to our customers.”
