Infitel appoints Peter Coates as new chief executive officer

NIEUWEGEIN, The Netherlands -- Infitel International N.V. (www.infitel.com), a leading vendor of solutions for value-added services for network operators and telecom service providers, today announced telecom industry expert Peter Coates has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

In his role at Infitel, Peter will be responsible for driving the company’s overall direction and the international expansion in sales and marketing. In addition, Peter will manage the company’s solid relationship with its key industry partners and be responsible for the company’s overall profitability.

“Peter’s strong management and product experiences coupled with his extensive international marketing and senior level managment abilities will help us make significant changes to fuel our growth in the months ahead,” says René de Greef, Infitel Chief Operating Officer. “Peter’s enthusiastic leadership, strong communication and product implementation skills bring an added dimension to Infitel’s business today.”

During his 21-year career in telecommunications, Peter has held several business development and marketing positions in many different areas of the telecommunication industry. Peter has had significant and important roles at both MVNO start-up companies and multinational corporations such as Energis, Sense Communications, Global One, Unisource Mobile, Millicom International and Vodafone.

Prior to joining Infitel, Peter was Managing Director at Depeche Consulting Sarl., a telecommunications consulting organization based in Sion, Switzerland where he delivered his telecom knowledge and expertise to the company’s clients worldwide.
