VANCOUVER -- Incognito Software Inc. announced today at the CableLabs Winter Conference the release of Name Commander 3.5 - the latest release of its industry-leading DNS management solution.

Name Commander is a secure, fault-tolerant and massively scalable DNS management solution that dramatically reduces the costs and inefficiencies associated with managing domain resources, allowing companies to quickly consolidate their global DNS infrastructure and enabling their partners and customers to securely manage their own domain names and resources.

"Name Commander is already installed in the US, Canada and Europe and we are pleased to see rapid global acceptance of this product - validating the immediate payback and ease of use for this unique solution" says Patricia Steadman, CEO of Incognito Software.

Features of the web-based Name Commander include the ability to manage millions of DNS resource records; automatically generate reverse zones; manage BIND 8 or BIND 9; offer split DNS; easily link DNS resources by customer, corporate division, administrator, or other entity; a full auditing and diagnostic toolkit with an extensive set of Java and CORBA APIs for back-office integration; and an included end-user access module for customer-driven domain management. In addition, Name Commander is integrated with Incognito's IP address management solution, Address Commander, providing customers with complete, secure and granular management of all IP and DNS resources from a single screen.
