Mark Gilliland has been appointed chief technology officer at Inclarity

LONDON -- Inclarity, a leading communications service provider, has strengthened its technical pedigree with the appointment of Mark Gilliland as Chief Technology Officer. Mark boasts an impressive track record in voice and data communications having previously held senior technology positions at Cable & Wireless plc and the UK Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).

Mark will play a vital role in supporting Inclarity’s continued business expansion in both its Broadband Telephony and satellite services sectors.

As Global Head of Voice Engineering and Head of Voice and Data Engineering in the UK for Cable and Wireless, he was responsible for the design, testing, planning and operational support of substantial PSTN voice, VoIP, IP and data networks, including the initial deployment of MPLS VPNs, VoIP wholesale and retail services, and the expansion of the national IP, Frame Relay, ATM and PSTN networks.

Prior to this as Head of Telecommunications Networks R&D at GCHQ, Mark established and managed teams of development engineers to build innovative telecommunications systems based upon ATM, Frame Relay, C7 signalling and various LAN technologies.
