BETHESDA, Md. -- IMAKE, the major provider of solutions and services that enable the seamless delivery and management of interactive and on-demand broadband services, announced that its open architected software now supports more than 20 million cable television subscribers. This milestone marks the widest deployment, on a per-subscriber basis, of software that ensures the delivery, billing and management of Video On Demand (VOD) and interactive services.

An open standards-based platform, IMAKE's product suite includes:
- Asset Manager - manages the creation and distribution of VOD content throughout a service provider's network.

- Entitlement/Upsell Server - ensures on-time, accurate billing for digital services such as VOD and pay-per-view by interfacing with billing systems to provide accurate and efficient provisioning, verification, billing and upsell offerings.

- Pitcher/Catcher - automates and simplifies digital media asset management and distribution. This solution is currently distributing VOD content to over 100 cities across the United States.

IMAKE's Chairman and CEO Mark Schaszberger said, "Our product suite has become the most widely deployed back office solution in VOD for two reasons. First, IMAKE's commitment to open standards enables clients to make technology decisions based on their own needs not the need to comply or integrate with some proprietary technology. Second, it builds business intelligence into the customer's network to optimize uptime, productivity and profitability. IMAKE is proud to reach this milestone and looks forward to bringing open, intelligent VOD services to 30, 40, 50 million subscribers and beyond."
