Receives quality assurance certification from accreditation body, Det Norske Veritas Certification Ltd.

WEST MALLING, Kent, U.K. -- Photonic networking solutions provider, ilotron, today announces that following an audit of their design and manufacturing facilities, the company has been awarded the international quality standard ISO 9001 : 2000. ilotron receives immediate registration from accreditation body, Det Norske Veritas Certification Ltd. Paul Stejskal, senior lead auditor, Det Norske Veritas commented: "It is clear that there is great commitment to the quality culture from board level downwards and that quality issues are communicated well throughout the company."

Founded in January 2000 as a technology spinout from the Photonics Networks Research Centre at the University of Essex, ilotron has focused on the implementation of a quality management system from its inception. ilotron's commitment to excellence has underpinned its vision to be the markets leading provider of the highest quality intelligent optical solutions.
