DELHI, India -- Hughes Software Systems (HSS), an end-to-end software products and services provider for the telecom industry, today unveiled its new Service Provisioning Platform (SPP) Version 4.5. With this HSS now offers the advanced SPP version 4.5 as a product separate from its leading Billing Mediation Platform, which continues to be marketed in Version 4.4.

The SPP, which primarily enables service activation, will help service providers to carry out an even speedier roll-out of services for their subscribers, give them the flexibility to make quick modifications in the network and allow them to capture the Service Map of the network. The modular nature of SPP also allows it to readily integrate with Billing, Mediation and other B/OSS products.

Elaborating on the launch, Mr Manoranjan Mohapatra, chief operating officer, Hughes Software Systems, said, "HSS has always been at the forefront of innovation and it has been our endeavor to provide our customers with a modular and scalable portfolio of products. The convergence of telecom infrastructure has created the potential for accelerating revenue streams through new services and billing models, and the launch of HSS' Service Provisioning Platform version 4.5 is a step further in that direction".

"Going forward, HSS has plans to roll out a number of products, which will use the core mediation and provisioning architecture, to provide a host of value added functionalities to customers", he added.
