LONDON -- Huawei Technologies (“Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications solutions for operators around the world, today announced the appointment of Tim Watkins as Vice President of Huawei Western Europe.

Tim will be responsible for sales and marketing in the Western European region, providing strategic guidance for further collaboration with leading European operators. Tim brings 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to the role, building a strong foundation for customer engagement projects and future initiatives.

Prior to joining Huawei, Tim was the North EMEA president at Nortel Networks, responsible for carrier and enterprise business in UK, Eire and Benelux/Scandinavia and the Middle East. Before that, Tim spent 16 years in different roles at Nortel, including leading its wireless business in Europe and taking responsibility for several of its global wireless accounts.
