Multiyear contract, worth up to $40 million, with Norlight Telecommunications to provide optical networking solutions

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Hitachi Telecom announced today, the signing of a multi-year contract, with value up to $40 million, with Norlight Telecommunications to provide optical networking solutions. The network enhancement will multiply Norlight's network capacity by 32 times, provide greater flexibility and help prepare the network for future customer applications. Hitachi Telecom is installing its optical systems in Norlight Telecommunications' points of presence throughout its network. Norlight provides wholesale transport solutions to other carriers and integrated data communications solutions to businesses. Norlight touts its network as fault-tolerant, with inherent restoration of service capabilities, providing highly reliable and redundant service to its customers.
