Subex Eyes SPIT Growth

Service Provider Information Technology (SPIT) specialist Subex Ltd. boasted a considerable rise in order intake for its core telecom software product during the first quarter of its fiscal 2012. However its revenues dipped compared with a year ago.

The company, which sells revenue assurance, data integrity and service fulfillment to telecom operators worldwide, reported revenues for the three months to June 30 of nearly 1.17 billion Indian rupees (US$26.5 million), down from INR 1.23 billion ($27.8 million) a year ago. But Subex says its first-quarter "order intake" for its Revenue Maximization Solutions (RMS), the "core business of the company," grew more than 63 percent to $23 million compared with the same period a year ago, suggesting an upturn in trading conditions for the company.
