Mobile Satellite Ventures selects Axiom Systems for 4G network service assembly

SEATTLE -- Axiom Systems today announced that Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) has selected AXIOSS® and Active Catalog™ for the design, assembly and delivery of new services on MSV’s next generation integrated satellite-terrestrial network.

MSV’s next-generation hybrid satellite and cellular network will provide seamless, transparent, interoperable and ubiquitous wireless broadband services across North America through conventional handsets.

AXIOSS® and Active Catalog are key elements of the Operational Support Systems/Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) MSV is developing.

MSV is a leading supplier of mobile satellite communications services delivering mobile wireless voice and data services primarily for public safety, security, fleet management and asset tracking throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition, MSV holds the first FCC license to provide hybrid satellite-terrestrial services. The company plans to launch two satellites for coverage of the United States and Canada, which are expected to be among the largest and most powerful commercial satellites ever built.
