Gude Is Gone

3:00 PM -- Didya catch that Clearwire LLC (Nasdaq: CLWR) senior vice president Atish Gude is leaving the operator as it adds more executive staff?

The snippet that Gude is "leaving Clearwire to pursue new opportunities" was in the company's release about its new chief strategy officer, David Maquera, who is taking on the role vacated by Scott Richardson in August. (See Clearwire Considering WiMax Polygamy .)

Gude was a long-time booster for WiMax both at Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) and Clearwire. Here he is talking about WiMax billing at Sprint in July 2008:

{videoembed|158161}Along with Barry West, Gude was one of the big names from Sprint that moved to Clearwire. West is currently the president of International at Clearwire. (See Clearwire: In Depth With Barry West.)

As the Sprint influence at Clearwire appears to be diminishing, new CEO Bill Morrow is bringing in an interesting mix of new execs. Former CEO of online dating site Match.com Thomas Enraght-Moony is joining the operator as general manager of CLEAR Online.

We can see the marketing slogan now: It's okay to connect!
