BOSTON -- Nortel Networks(NYSE:NT)(TSE:NT.) announced today that it has been selected by GlobalCrossing Ltd. (NYSE:GX) to provide Internet Protocol (IP) servicemanagement software for Global Crossing's worldwide deployment of nextgeneration IP and ATM services. Based on a software licensing agreement, Nortel Networks willdeliver provisioning software capabilities designed to help GlobalCrossing accelerate the delivery of IP-based services. TheseOperational Support System (OSS) capabilities will include policymanagement, order management, service provisioning, network inventorymanagement, service level management and accounting mediation. NortelNetworks OSS solutions support pre-integrated, workflow-driven, anddirectory-based services for its IP networking solutions, as well asnetwork devices from other vendors. The agreement also includeson-going maintenance and support over a three-year period.
