Atlantic Broadband Expands Gigabit Deployments
QUNICY, Mass. -- Atlantic Broadband has expanded its Gigabit internet deployment for residential and business customers in its Maryland, Delaware, South Carolina, Connecticut, and Western PA service areas. These launches are part of Atlantic Broadband’s expansion initiative to make Gigabit speed internet available to 90 percent of its service area, extending across 11 states from Maine to Florida.
The expanded Gig footprint now includes the following (press release links to each area are below)
• Maryland and Delaware – MD: Chesapeake City, Perryville and Stevensville; DE: Middletown, Delaware City, New Castle, Odessa, Port Penn, St. Georges, Townsend and Clayton.
• South Carolina - Barnwell and Bamberg, South Carolina as well as in Snelling, Allendale, Fairfax, Denmark, Williston, Elko and Blackville townships.
• Connecticut - Killingly and Putnam

Gigabit speed expansion is occurring at a time when homes and workplaces increasingly require internet with the capacity and performance to power the growing number of devices and applications customers rely on every day. Gig benefits both homes and businesses with internet speeds up to 10 times faster than fixed broadband, enabling it easier to use more devices.
