RAMAT GAN, Israel -- Sckipio Technologies, the leader in G.fast modems, and iPhotonix, an industry innovation leader for the network functions virtualization (NFV), cloud transformation and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) technologies, today announced a partnership to ensure easy deployment and management of G.fast DPU devices by telcos globally. The partnership will enable the iPhotonix Virtual Network (iVN) to fully interoperate with Sckipio’s industry-leading G.fast solution, which supports the most simultaneous subscribers and the highest rate and reach.

“Service providers are looking toward virtualization, including in the access network, to address real business drivers beyond data rates such as reducing OPEX and management complexities.” Sckipio’s G.fast technology consists of modems for both the DPU and the CPE. Through superior design, the fully ITU-compliant Sckipio G.fast solution delivers up to 2x the expected rate and reach of the G.fast standard – all while staying 100% within the specification guidelines.

iVN is an integrated NFV platform for the rapid delivery of iPhotonix vApps combined with extensive networking, management and orchestration (MANO) solutions. Recently announced and demonstrated at Gigabit Cities, this breakthrough new platform will be extended to support the Sckipio G.fast DPUs.
