TORONTO –– Fusepoint Managed Services, a leading provider of outsourced IT services and infrastructure, today announced that it has acquired Toronto-based Worldwide Online, a hosting and professional services firm. The deal is the latest in a series of national expansion moves made by Fusepoint that began last fall with the acquisition of Montreal-based Versus and continues with the signing of many new customers across Canada.

Worldwide Online specializes in managed IT services, along with application and email management. The acquisition includes all Worldwide Online employees and the addition of one of their major customers, the Toronto Real Estate Board, an organization with 107 staff and over 21,000 members.

“I am pleased to welcome Worldwide Online to the Fusepoint family,” said Robert Offley, president and CEO of Fusepoint Managed Services. “Worldwide Online has impressive expertise and an enviable set of customers. Their work for the Toronto Real Estate Board is an excellent example of the quality and breadth of the managed services Worldwide Online offers. From hosting TREB’s data and managing their hardware and wide-area network to overseeing their applications and planning for business continuity, Worldwide Online has become an invaluable partner to one of the largest real estate boards in North America.”

“The entire Worldwide Online team is excited about joining Fusepoint,” said Romeo Colacitti, president of Worldwide Online, who has joined Fusepoint as director of sales. “After 10 years as a successful independent service provider, it was time for us to branch out and seize opportunities that only a company of Fusepoint’s caliber could offer us. We’ve already discovered many synergies between our two organizations, and look forward to a very promising future together.”
