SAN MATEO, Calif. -- VoiceObjects, Inc. announced today it has closed a $10.8 million venture capital financing. The funds were provided by existing investors Telesoft Partners, Wellington Partners, SAP Ventures, Deutsche Telekom's T-Venture and Enjoyventure. The company also announced that industry veterans Bonnie Crater and Kendra Borrego have joined as senior vice president of marketing and chief financial officer, respectively. These executives join recently appointed president and chief executive officer Beatriz Infante, formerly president and chief executive officer of Aspect Communications, on the company's senior management team. The latest financing brings the total amount of venture capital raised by the company to $35 million. The new funds will be used to enhance the company's sales and marketing functions in the U.S. and to continue development of the company's VoiceObjects Server and other products. The company also announced that the membership of its Board of Directors has changed and now consists of Arjun Gupta, founder and managing partner of Telesoft Partners, Beatriz Infante, president and chief executive officer of VoiceObjects, and Jorg Uberla, general partner of Wellington Partners.

"With today's many announcements -- a significant financing, the addition of veteran executives, the general availability of our revolutionary phone application server product, and an important customer win -- this is a momentous time for VoiceObjects," said Beatriz Infante. "The company is now ideally positioned to build on its impressive record of European success by radically transforming the North American phone-based self-service industry."
