SCTE Foundation Adds to Board

Mark Dzuban, new president/CEO of the SCTE, and Tony Werner, EVP and CTO of Comcast Cable, are new members of the SCTE Foundation Board

EXTON, Pa. -- The SCTE Foundation proudly announces today that Mark Dzuban, the new president/CEO of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and Tony Werner, executive vice president and CTO of Comcast Cable, are new members of the SCTE Foundation Board of Directors.

The SCTE Board of Directors designated Dzuban as a member of the SCTE Foundation Board of Directors by virtue of Dzuban’s position as SCTE president/CEO. The SCTE Foundation Board then elected Dzuban to the office of Foundation vice president.

Dzuban began as SCTE president/CEO on Feb. 2. Prior to Dzuban’s arrival, Marv Nelson filled the SCTE president/CEO role on an interim basis and, by extension, served on the SCTE Foundation Board, which had voted him as its vice president.

Dzuban is one of the leading experts in the cable telecommunications industry with more than 41 years of technical experience designing, constructing, and operating networks in the United States and abroad. Prior to joining SCTE, Dzuban was the vice chairman and executive vice president, strategic accounts of Cedar Point Communications. He also served as the first chairman of the organization’s technical advisory board. While at Cedar Point, Dzuban pioneered the development of cable telephony switching technology from concept to nearly 5 million lines deployed.
