Fujitsu names Takanobu Yoden new president & chief executive officer; Akira Tokimasa returns to Japan, as planned

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc., the leader in the optical telecommunications market, today announced the appointment of Takanobu Yoden to the position of president and chief executive officer of the company.Mr. Yoden, a seasoned, 30-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, was formerly group senior vice president of Fujitsu Limited's global business with responsibility for many of the telecommunications and computing businesses in the Americas and Europe.Akira Tokimasa will be returning to Japan, having completed his planned tenure as president and chief executive officer of Fujitsu Network Communications; this move is part of Fujitsu Limited's executive management rotation program, which typically implements organizational changes at this time each year."Takanobu Yoden comes to Fujitsu Network Communications with a rich history of experience and business acumen in the telecommunications industry as a whole and Fujitsu specifically," says Koichi Ohta, Chairman of the Board of Fujitsu Network Communications.
