MURRAY HILL, N.J., and ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) today announced an agreement with QLogic Corp. (NASDAQ: QLGC) to provide global technical support, on-site service and advanced exchange services for QLogic switches and host bus adapters used in storage area networks.

The agreement with Lucent allows QLogic Global Services to expand its coverage by leveraging Lucent's network integration and multivendor expertise, in-region local language remote technical support, global spares logistics and on-site support services (see separate press release from QLogic announcing its QLogic Global Services program).
