LHS Wins UAE Deal

New United Arab Emirates operator du selects billing software vendor LHS to support fixed/mobile convergence

FRANKFURT, Germany -- Leading provider oftelecom customer care and billing systems LHS, todayannounced that Emirates Integrated TelecommunicationsCompany (EITC), the second operator of the United ArabEmirates, has selected BSCS iX to rate and bill its integratedservices across its mobile and fixed line network. EITC whichoperates under the brand name “du”, launched with mobileservices earlier this year, followed by long distance fixed linelate summer and will launch full fixed line, broadband and payTV services by yearend.

BSCS iX enhances “du's” ability to market products andservices with very innovative and flexible tariff plans, allowingthem to gain and maintain a competitive advantage. Customerswill benefit from cross technology service bundles andmarketing offerings, which will in turn increase their brandloyalty.
