PIERRE, S.D. -For the third time in 10 years, Mitchell-based Innovative Systems is expanding. The company is adding 30,000 square feet to its current Mitchell facility and also adding 30 newemployee positions.

Innovative Systems provides integrated hardware and software solutions for the independent telecommunications industry. The expansion will help Innovative Systems accommodate its growing client list. Specifically, the expansion will provide Innovative Systems with officespace for an increased staff of software developers and support specialists.

In 1998, Roger Musick, CEO and founder of Innovative Systems, started the family-owned company in Mitchell, along with his son, Kyle, and son-in-law Ryan Tupper.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard says Innovative Systems is a great South Dakota success story.

“Innovative Systems started out with 10 employees. In less than 15 years, the company has impressively grown to 160 employees,” the Governor said. “Innovative Systems is proof that theentrepreneurial spirit in Mitchell is alive and well.”
