SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Fiberxon, one of world’s leading supplier of pluggable optical transceivers for metro/access optical networking applications, today announced their participation in China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE 2006) in Shenzhen from Sep 6~9, booth No#A601. Fiberxon will be unveiling their new series of devoted optical modules.

At CIOE, Fiberxon will showcase RoHS compliant products including a series of GE-PON&GPON ONU/OLG transceivers, industry’s first i-temp 10G XFP, and i-temp 2.5G SFP for fast-growing optical broadband access applications, and software Re-configurable FE/GbE SGMII SFP transceivers. A range of high-quality OSA components (BOSA, TOSA and ROSA) will also be on display.

Also, the new product family of dedicated multi-rate dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) small form factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers will be display in their booth, #A601 CIOE.

Fiberxon’s DWDM SFPs enable customers to improve wavelength management and significantly reduce the complexity and cost of DWDM in metro core and edge applications. It’s fully conformed to the specification defined by the DWDM MSA and support high density, long reach applications up to 180km. The enhanced performance and flexibility of the transceiver is highlighted through operation at various data rates from 125 Mbps to 2.67 Gbps and optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) levels. This new product family is also fully RoHS (restriction on the use of certain hazardous substances) compliant.

Fiberxon’s transceivers are designed for single mode fiber and operate at ITU wavelengths with 100GHz channel spacing across the C-band and L-band. Both long (1569-1606nm) and conventional (1528-1563nm) band can be optional for customers. Expanding the company's broad offering of MSA compliant transceivers, these modules offer exceptional EMI performance and low power dissipation.

“This new line of DWDM SFP products are latest addition to our industry leading range of pluggable transceivers”, commented by Dr. Rang-Chen Yu, Vice President of Datacom/Telecom PLG of Fiberxon. “We are committed to providing high performance, high quality and cost competitive end-to-end optical transceiver solutions from optical broadband access to metro optical networking applications”.
