FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FTGX), a leading provider of metropolitan optical connectivity, announced that its network has not been affected by yesterday's tragic events and is currently operating with full service in New York City.

FiberNet wishes to express its deepest concern and sympathies to everyone who has been impacted by the tragedy.

All of the Company's carrier hotel facilities and metropolitan transport networks currently are fully operational with uninterrupted commercial power. The Company believes that it will be able to maintain service without interruption.

In an effort to help restore normalcy to New York City's communications networks, FiberNet looks forward to helping its customers and colleagues to return to full service as quickly as possible.
