SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Fibera, Inc., a provider of innovative wavelength stabilization and management solutions, today announced that it has achieved a major milestone representing both an acknowledgement of the company’s engineering excellence and a boost for the marketability of one of the company’s principal products.The Fibera 50GHz Multi-Channel Wavelength Locker (MCWL) has passed the stringent series of reliability tests needed to achieve Telcordia (formerly Bellcore) Group Requirements (GR)-1221-CORE certification for passive optical components.To meet Telcordia criteria, the Fibera 50GHz unit was required to pass a number of tests, including damp heat, repetitive temperature cycling, mechanical shock and vibration, and thermal aging that are conducted to accelerate the adverse effects of harsh environments on the component’s lifetime.
