Allan Fox, once head of Nortel's Harlow lab, joins Polatis, a startup making an all-optical switch

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Polatis Ltd, is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Allan FoxF.R.Eng as Chairman.

Dr Fox, stated “He is delighted to be joining the innovative and fast movingteam at Polatis, operating in this very exciting sector of thecommunications industry”. Dr Fox, previously MD of Nortel Network’s HarlowLaboratories, a key centre for advanced optical communications productdevelopment, was awarded the Nortel Fellowship earlier this year, the firstoutside Canada. He was Nortel “Manager of the Year” 1998, where he headedthe next generation architectures programme for future communicationsnetworks.
