Nokia's Q4 Shrinkage

6:10 AM -- Storm clouds are gathering for Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) ahead of its fourth-quarter earnings report Thursday, with Bloomberg reporting that analysts are expecting the company to announce its lowest net income figure for almost a decade.

All eyes, it seems, are on the Finnish handset giant's strategy briefing on Feb. 11, where investors and analysts are hoping to hear how new CEO Stephen Elop plans to deal with the increasing smart-phone market pressure Nokia is experiencing from Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL), BlackBerry and the Android community. (See Nokia Delays & OS Plays, OS Watch: Apple Beats RIM, Verbally & Actually, 'Nokia Is Back!' and Nokia Dumps CEO, Hires Elop.)

And, of course, it's also possible Elop might share his views on the future of Nokia Networks . (See Huawei Sues to Block Moto Sale to NSN and Rumor: NSN Stake Sale Near.)
