Gustafsson Gets His Stripes
Gustafsson, you may recall, lasted less than three months under new chairman Ed Bramson, who took control of Spirent in dramatic fashion last December. (See Spirent Suffers Boardroom Coup and Spirent Spikes CEO .)
The good news for the 47-year-old former Tellabs Inc. (Nasdaq: TLAB; Frankfurt: BTLA) man is that he has a new berth, as CEO of Zebra Technologies, which "helps companies identify, locate and track assets, transactions and people with on-demand specialty digital printing and automatic identification solutions," including "printers, supplies, RFID products and software."
Zebra's stock rose by 1.3 percent to $36.80 Tuesday following news that Gustafsson is taking over from the company's founder Ed Kaplan, who is retiring.
