EE is reaping the benefits of its 4G advantage in the U.K., where it has launched services ahead of its main rivals. Independent mobile service performance analytics firm RootMetrics has released a report showing that, following 83,000 mobile performance tests covering voice, data and messaging services, EE was the best overall performer in London. NSN has the best macro base stations in the industry, according to radio access network (RAN equipment competitive analysis conducted by ABI Research, which found that NSN achieved "best-in-class rank for the essential IP, advanced features, multi-protocol support and LTE RAN contracts criteria." Telenor has introduced a range of data roaming packages to encourage the use of mobile broadband services by its customers when they travel abroad.
