SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Annual European service provider e-business infrastructure expenditures will grow 34%, from $3.5 billion to $4.7 billion between 2001 and 2005, according to a market research study released today by Infonetics Research. The study, "Service Provider Plans for E-Business Infrastructure and Services, Europe 2001," is the third of three in-depth studies Infonetics Research is publishing this year on e-business infrastructure. "Hosting providers in Europe are facing a challenging and sometimes hostile marketplace right now, but they're focusing on the future by selling high-margin dedicated hosting services to medium and large businesses," said analyst Jeff Wilson, Infonetics Research's Executive Director. "They will try to leverage technologies that they can add incrementally, and that generate revenue immediately, like SSL acceleration, security products, and storage networking devices."
