EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Wavecrest, a global leader in timing and jitter analysis instrumentation, today announced that its revolutionary SIA-3000 platform has been selected by Xanoptix(TM) for prototype, design verification, and production testing of their highly intelligent optical connection products. "Given the prominent role Xanoptix's optically enabled integrated circuit technology is expected to play in enabling high performance solutions for data communications, telecommunications, and computing markets, we are very pleased to be chosen as the signal integrity analysis instrument of choice," said Dale Nugent Vice President and General Manager of Wavecrest's Test and Measurement Division. The SIA-3000 is the only instrument available on the market today that provides functionality of an oscilloscope, BERT, spectrum analyzer, and time interval analyzer. It provides the most complete, detailed, and accurate signal integrity analysis capabilities available in a single instrument. "The market requires integrated signal integrity analysis solutions that have high performance, high throughput and a modular platform that meets today's needs with the capability to add functionality in the future. The SIA-3000 delivers in these areas." said John Patrin, Wavecrest's Director of Product Marketing. "Xanoptix was impressed with the value of the new SIA-3000 platform from Wavecrest - one of the drivers in our decision to select Wavecrest was the fact they provide a production solution that correlates with their laboratory instrument reducing development costs and time to market," said Ted Sjodin, Xanoptix's Photonics Systems Engineer.
