STOCKHOLM -- Acme Packet®, the leader in session border control solutions, today announced that T-Com Croatia, a division of T-Hrvatski Telekom, a Deutsche Telecom subsidiary, selected Acme Packet’s Net-Net® session border controllers (SBCs) for Net Phone, its new hosted VoIP service offering for businesses. Combis, the leading system integrator in Croatia, has installed Acme Packet Net-Net SBCs with Sylantro Systems' applications feature server, Sylantro Synergy, to power IP Centrex services for businesses throughout Croatia.

The Net-Net SBCs enable the delivery of high quality hosted IP communications and assist in protecting the integrity of T-Com Croatia's VoIP network with security and quality assurance features. Its Net-SAFE™ functionality delivers topology hiding, access control and denial of service attack (DoS) prevention for both the SBC and the softswitches and application servers. Acme Packet’s unique adaptive hosted NAT traversal allows T-Com Croatia to maximize the reach of Net Phone without interruption or change at the customer premise. Call admission control on the Net-Net SBC enables delivery of premium services over converged access links and assures QoS by prohibiting overloading of the links.

“The Net-Net SBC feature set enables T-Com Croatia to deliver top-quality and trusted next generation communication services to businesses throughout Croatia,” Branimir Marić, Executive Director of Group Network Strategy & Platform Development, T-Com Croatia. “Acme Packet's multiprotocol support, stringent security function, encompassing service reach maximization features and proven interoperability with our other infrastructure elements accelerated our time-to-service.”

“The launch of T-Com Croatia’s Net Phone service delivers innovative communications to Croatian businesses with feature-rich IP telephony services such as click-to-call, remote instant office and a browser-based call management interface,” declared Andy Ory, president and CEO, Acme Packet. “Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs are ensuring that T-Com Croatia delivers secure premium interactive communications to its customers.”
