Sonus Eyes Euro Growth
In announcing its expansion plans, which include additional service capabilities in Prague and a new European headquarters in the not-so-pleasantly-named Staines, in England, Sonus noted that: "While the North American market continues to drive significant growth for Sonus, the company is focused on additional growth opportunities in Europe… The expansion to its European operations will focus primarily on increasing its direct sales presence beyond these countries as the market for next-generation communications expands in Spain, Eastern Europe, Russia and throughout the region."
Sonus knows it, and we know it: Eastern Europe is hot. (See Eastern Promise, PE Firms Buy Euro Carrier, Hungary for M&A Action, and Vendors Eye Euro Ethernet Hotpot.)
