MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Pactolus Communications Software, makers of the industry’s most broadly-deployed SIP applications and service creation/delivery solutions, today introduces new features and capabilities that help large-scale wireless, wireline and MSO providers layer lucrative pre and post paid services over existing VoBB services with greater ease and economy, leveraging the revenue potential of next generation networks. The enhanced award-winning SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Service application simplifies layering of high-margin “front-end” prepaid and postpaid services on top of existing VoBB services, and is now successfully deployed in a Tier 1 network where it is expanding the reach and revenue generation of a 3rd party VoBB service implementation.

SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services lets Wireless, MSO and Wireline providers bypass many economic, integration and architectural disruptions that otherwise inhibit new service rollouts. It reframes the service reach and potential subscriber base for prepaid and postpaid services, with important new revenue generation capabilities and supports such as:

  • Enhanced Matrix Rating to manage the definition of rates that are based on numerous variables in caller originations and destinations, addressing the needs of Tier 1 providers with extremely broad subscriber bases and global market calling patterns that aren’t necessarily pre-defined between the subscriber and provider.

  • Callback Trigger Options so that call backs can be triggered via dedicated access number, the application’s integrated self-care web portal, or API (e.g. SMS-initiated).

  • Post Paid Integrated Long Distance Dialing that allows the subscriber to call up to a specified amount of minutes during their post paid billing cycle.

  • Inline Billing Capabilities to enable transparent (without IVR) prepaid or postpaid metering and billing for effectively ‘front ending’ preexisting Class 5 and other SIP-based services.

Today’s announced capabilities sharply expand the service provider deployment modalities of SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services. SIPware has long been recognized as the leading IP card-based long distance calling service for authentication of subscriber services through IVR-based and ANI identification processes, and for callback connection services.
