Nortel's Cash Scrap

10:20 AM -- The offices and R&D centers might be quiet these days, now that most of the company has been sold off, but the legal department at Nortel Networks Ltd. is still buzzing.

According to a report from Reuters, Nortel is in dispute with Genband Inc. over the final price it must pay for Nortel's Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions (CVAS) unit, while the legal team is also trying to claw back some break-up cash it handed to Nokia Networks after the joint venture lost its battle to buy Nortel's Metro Ethernet Networks (MEN) division.
