SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Edgewater Networks, Inc., the leader in converged networking solutions for IP-based applications, today announced that New Global Telecom (NGT), the leader in wholesale hosted VoIP solutions, has selected the EdgeMarc router for its reference VoIP network architecture.

Focus on Quality of Service

After installing tens of thousands of VoIP endpoints, NGT determined that EdgeMarc offers the best solution for an all-in-one VoIP router and support system.

Built to simplify the setup and support of VoIP, some of the key features of the EdgeMarc include: SIP, MGCP and H.323 application layer gateways, stateful packet inspection firewall, VPN, PSTN failover and VoIP survivability, passive call quality monitoring, and quality of service tools such as prioritization, traffic shaping, call admission control.
