KRANJ, Slovenia -- Iskratel has won the tender to supply NGN equipment to the Bolivian telecommunications company Cosett. Iskratel was chosen ahead of other leading global telecommunications companies such as Siemens, Nortel and ZTE.

Cosett, a Bolivian telecommunications company, wishes to upgrade its current TDM network at no less than four sites with a next generation network technology already in the initial transition phase. For this task they have chosen products and solutions made by Iskratel. We will equip the centralsite in the city of Tarija with Iskratel's softswitch SI2000 Call Server product, which will be connected to the installed EWSD telephone exchange via SSN7 signaling. The SI2000 MSAN product with 500 IP subscribers and 528 ADSL2+ lines will be installed on the same site. At three remote sites Iskratel plans to install and integrate into the network three SI2000 MSAN systems. The total capacity is almost 1800 analog and more than 400 ADSL2+ subscribers. Because of the environmental conditions two of the systems will be mounted in an outdoor unit (shelter).

Iskratel, which has been present on the international telecommunications market for many years, will expand its business network to South America with the supply of this equipment.
