MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Ditech Networks (Nasdaq: DITC), a leader in voice quality solutions for mobile, fixed line and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) networks announced today that MetaSwitch, a leading provider IMS switching and applications solutions, will offer Ditech's PeerPoint C100 Session Border Controller (SBC) as an element in its voice over broadband solutions for carriers. The agreement will place Ditech VoIP products in leading VoIP carrier networks while enabling MetaSwitch to provide secure, seamless interoperability at the network edge for carriers who offer IP-based services or are migrating from circuit-based to next-generation packet-based voice and triple play services.

New IP-based services pose unique security and interoperability concerns for carriers who deliver hosted services. Carriers must ensure that their back-end servers are protected from possible security breaches while simultaneously allowing subscribers' voice equipment to work properly behind Network Address Translation (NAT) equipment and firewalls. Ditech's PeerPoint C100 will enable MetaSwitch to ensure secure subscriber access and inter- carrier peering in customers' IP networks without requiring changes to the network or to subscribers' equipment configurations.
