Digium and BroadSoft strengthen partnership

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. –- Digium®, creator and primary corporate sponsor of the popular Asterisk® open source telephony platform, and BroadSoft®, the leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that Digium's Switchvox® IP PBX has been certified to work with BroadSoft's BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. The certification will streamline the adoption of the award-winning Switchvox telephony system by BroadSoft customers around the world.

Today's announcement strengthens the longtime partnership between two of the world's most influential VoIP companies. BroadSoft provides VoIP applications to eight of the world's ten largest telecommunications carriers. Digium's Asterisk is the world's most widely used open source telephony software, and Switchvox is the most widely used customer premise-based IP PBX based on Asterisk.
