VOD, O2 to Share Networks?

9:00 AM -- Telefónica UK Ltd. and Vodafone UK are close to announcing a network-sharing deal that will enable a more cost-effective rollout of mobile broadband services, according to a report in The Guardian.

The report also suggests that Orange UK , Vodafone UK's existing infrastructure-sharing partner, is looking to join the network-sharing agreement struck between T-Mobile (UK) and Three UK announced in late 2007. (See Vodafone, Orange Revamp Network Share Deal and 3 & T-Mobile Share 3G in the UK.)
