Visual Networks and Vanguard Managed Solutions will work together to offer improved managed network services to Vanguard's customers

ROCKVILLE, Md., and MANSFIELD, Mass. -- Visual Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:VNWK), a leading provider of performance management solutions for communications networks and services, and Vanguard Managed Solutions (VanguardMS), a leading source of managed network solutions for the enterprise, today announced they will work together to offer improved managed network services to VanguardMS customers. VanguardMS will use Visual Networks' Visual UpTime(R) performance management system in its Networks Operations Center (NOC) to perform real-time troubleshooting at remote locations and create performance reports detailing circuit utilization, throughput and availability for its customers' networks. These enhancements will help ensure that clients' network-dependent mission-critical applications are running at optimum levels and allow for remote problem resolution without costly technician dispatches. "We currently manage over 175 networks worldwide.
