ViaSat certifies Encore's VSR-30 and Bandit platforms for use with its LinkStar IP satellite terminal to offer secure broadband

DULLES, Va. -- Encore Networks, a leading developer ofintegrated IP+Legacy Virtual Private Network (VPN) and securitysolutions, today announced the recent completion of certificationtesting between the ViaSat LinkStar® IP satellite terminal and Encore'sVSR-30* and the BANDIT* product line. The combined platform delivers thefirst end-to-end IPsec VPN without bandwidth degradation over hybridsatellite and terrestrial networks that meet the security requirementsof ViaSat commercial customers.

The ability to perform SLE to IPsectunnel switching allows satellite operators the flexibility to offerhigh performance VPN solutions that span combined satellite andterrestrial networks without performance degradation.
