Veraz appoints new manager of Asia/Pacific regional sales in Singapore

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Veraz Networks, a leading global provider of next-generation telephony solutions, announced the appointment of Alvin Ono as its new manager of Asia-Pacific Regional Sales. As a result of the strong demand for VoIP services in the region, Veraz Networks has appointed Mr. Ono to further drive its growth in Asia. Mr. Ono will be located in Veraz's Singapore office.

Mr. Ono has more than 17 years of experience in packet telephony for the Asia-Pacific region. Formerly Tekelec's Director of Packet Telephony and Product Marketing Development-Asia-Pacific Region, Alvin directed the marketing and business strategy for Tekelec's telephony and signaling technology. Prior to joining Tekelec, Mr. Ono held engineering, marketing and management positions at AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies.
