STOCKHOLM -- Transmode Systems AB, a leading global supplier of Optical Access solutions, today announced that it has strengthened its executive team through the appointment of Morgan Noecker as Vice President of Sales for North America.

Morgan Noecker is an industry veteran having previously spent five years as a sales director in the Metro DWDM sector and prior to that, 15 years with Alcatel in sales and support. Morgan will be responsible for sales across the North American Carrier and Enterprise markets.

"We are very pleased to have Morgan on board", said Isaac Olasoko, CEO of Transmode Systems. "He brings a wealth of knowledge about the Service Provider market in the US and Canada and has a great track record of supporting his key customers."

Noecker said, "Transmode has been very successful in EMEA holding a more than 10% global market share for CWDM while focused on that single region. Now there is a great opportunity for Transmode to grow in North America where a number of infrastructural builds are taking place to support a new generation of consumer and business services."

"Transmode's portfolio is ideally suited for these applications due to its modular approach, which keeps the costs low while allowing great flexibility when the network needs to be expanded as demand grows. The Transmode System 1100 and Transmode Service Extender are just the right products to sell in North America this year. I couldn't be more excited!"

STOCKHOLM -- Transmode Systems AB, a leading global supplier of Optical Access solutions, today announced that it has opened Regional Sales Offices in North America and Asia.

Following a doubling of 2004 revenue over 2003 and the closure of a $15M funding round, Transmode Systems has announced its expansion into the North American and Asia Pacific Regions. Transmode has opened sales offices in Dallas, Texas to cover the North American market and Singapore to cover Asia Pacific.

"Transmode's unique offer of low cost, modularity and simplicity continues to gain traction in EMEA where several Tier 2 Carriers have deployed our C/DWDM solution for the first time during 2004." said Isaac Olasoko, Transmode CEO. "We have also seen sales successes in North America and Asia and we want to move closer to those customers."

Transmode has been particularly successful in building networks for backhauling Broadband traffic, Fibre Relief and Data Centre Interconnection. Transmode is very well positioned to play a major part in backhauling broadband traffic between PoPs and DSLAM sites within networks to support triple play services requiring HDTV, VOD, VoIP and very fast Internet Access. These deployments need 20Mbps uncontended bandwidth per subscriber and that means WDM for the backhaul. But service providers across the globe need to do this at very low cost.

"This is where Transmode's particular values are causing so much excitement," continued Olasoko. "We believe that this is now the time to expand our message out to the North American and Asian Markets which are both seeing significant Broadband build outs'.
