PITTSBURGH -- Tollgrade Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: TLGD - News), a leader in the telecom test and management industry, announced today that they have signed an agreement with Lucent Technologies International, Inc. (Lucent) to provide testability solutions for deployment throughout Saudi Telecom Company (STC), in the first significant international selection of Tollgrade's DigiTest® EDGE(TM) multi-layer broadband test system.

The U.S.-based agreement with Lucent, a Delaware corporation, includes the modernization and expansion of Tollgrade's LoopCare(TM) Test Operations Support System (OSS) as well as DigiTest EDGE hardware. Following an extensive proposal process, Tollgrade's testing technology was selected for both POTS and DSL service. Tollgrade solutions will be incorporated into a network comprised of network elements manufactured by several leading global telecommunications equipment suppliers. Tollgrade expects to see the bulk of the benefits of these sales during 2005.

"We believe this agreement, which includes all of Tollgrade's broadband offerings, validates Tollgrade's recent investments in R&D for broadband services," said Mark Peterson, President of Tollgrade. "STC is a world-class operator, committed to providing service to their customers and value to their shareholders. We are providing solutions that will help them do both by modernizing their customer care capabilities with state-of-the-art testing technology."
