SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Tdsoft Ltd., a leading provider of VoIP gateways for carriers, announced today at Spring VON 2005 the successful interoperability testing of the TdGATE IP-303 with a variety of RDTs and softswitches. Based on Tdsoft's renowned TdGATE product deployed extensively in networks of major incumbent and competitive carriers in Europe, North America and Australia, the latest version now also supports the GR-303 protocol. The TdGATE IP-303 enables service providers to leverage their existing install-base of GR-303 based DLCs while simultaneously introducing Class 5 softswitches. This product is particularly interesting for North American CLECs now moving to the facilities based UNE-L model following the recent changes relating to UNE-P.

Class 5 replacement softswitches are entering the market due to the new services they provide and their reduced entry-level costs. Tdsoft's TdGATE IP-303 gateway enables connection of proven and cost effective GR-303 remote digital terminals (RDT) to the softswitch. Service providers wishing to migrate existing networks by adding softswitch capabilities in the core network, as well as carriers looking to deploy softswitches for greenfield applications will appreciate the benefits of using trusted GR-303 equipment in their access networks.

The huge install base and variety of available GR-303 wireline, wireless, fiber and broadband access equipment ensures that even though the operator is migrating the core of the network, it does not compromise the features, reliability and price performance of the access network.

"Successful interoperability tests carried out with TdGATE IP-303, and the interest we are seeing in the market, reaffirms Tdsoft's leadership in Voice over IP gateways for carriers. The TdGATE IP-V5 originally developed three years ago was ahead of its time, and we are proud to add the GR-303 capabilities (already available on our Proxi product for several years) to the TdGATE", says Mr Yosi Albagli, President and CEO of Tdsoft. "The TdGATE will be deployed in North America by our US channel partners", added Mr Albagli.
