Sonus Finance VP Quits

's VP of Finance, corporate controller and chief accounting officer has found another job, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today.

The filing says finance VP Bradley T. Miller told Sonus on July 28 that he "had accepted a position as Chief Financial Officer at a public company and will be leaving Sonus effective August 12, 2005."

It's the latest strange twist in Sonus's story, which included a chain of financial missteps early in the year (see Sonus Dips Into the Red, 'Good Grief!' Sonus Disappoints Again, and Sonus Promises, Promises). Sonus is slated to report its second-quarter earnings on Aug. 8.

On the plus side, an SEC investigation of Sonus was recently finished, and the company supposedly beat out for a deal (see Sonus Cleared by SEC, Stock Jumps and Source: Sonus Has BellSouth Deal).

Board member Paul Ferri also left Sonus recently (see Sonus Board Member Departs).

re: Sonus Finance VP Quits after? In other words was he looked over for CFO and then started the job search when Ellen came in? Doesn't seem like much of a story. What's the word on Verizon and C5 Switch replacement???
How much is BLS deal possibly worth?

re: Sonus Finance VP Quits How much burnt toast must be scraped off this company before there's nothing left?
They had a great lead 5 years ago, but squandered it with questionable accounting practices.
Their competition is now caught up and chewing on all their existing accounts.

Sounds somewhat like VocalTec.

RIP Sonus, you had a great run. Too bad.

Coulda owned the World.
