DUBLIN -- Soft-ex has just announced the release of a new Telecom Data Intelligence solution (TDI) that combines telecoms data collected from telcos and their enterprise clients. This creates an agile data bridge that drives telco data analytics and intelligence, while supporting data monetisation and delivering an enhanced customer experience for their enterprise clients.

Soft-ex's TDI solutions directly address the pressing demand for advanced telecoms data intelligence solutions in the market. According to recent research from the Yankee Group, the TDI market is worth euro 1.2bn globally; it anticipates that sales and marketing focused solutions such as TDI to be among the highest growth sectors within the overall Business Intelligence market. "BI and analytics are poised for rapid growth in telecoms and Soft-ex's TDI solution is equally well positioned because it simultaneously delivers real value to operator marketing and sales executives and their business customers" (Source: The Yankee Group).

According to Ian Sparling, Soft-ex CEO, "Telcos are experiencing declining revenues from traditional voice services, coupled with increasing competition from new players such as Google, Apple and Skype. In addition data revenues, which have increased only threefold since 2007 despite a fiftyfold increase in traffic, have failed to offset this decline." Sparling continues, "Technology convergence is creating new revenue streams that traditional telcos lack the tools to exploit. This is creating pressure on telcos to innovate by making better use of their existing customer data to roll out new products; and by capturing new types of customer data from mobile phones and IP based communication, in order to enhance their customer relationships and engagement and adapt to increasingly rapid change in their markets."
